Canadian Hemlock

The Hemlock grows to a height of 6’ in about 8 years. It grows best in moist soils and full sunlight. The Hemlock will not grow well in dry areas. The primary use is replanting for specialty ornamental purposes.

The needles of the Hemlock are approximately 3/4” in length. The needles are flat and soft to the touch. The color of a Hemlock varies slightly from tree to tree but is best described as being light green.

  • Pyramidal, foliage is slender, lacy, spray like in appearance
